Apple Watch Tremor Tracking

Alumina Health is working on Apple Watch support to help capture tremor and movement patterns throughout the day, not only during a guided check-in.

A fuller picture of tremor, day to day

Tremor often changes from morning to evening, around medication doses, and with stress, fatigue, or caffeine. A short check-in captures one moment. Apple Watch support is designed to help fill in the hours in between, giving a fuller picture of how symptoms change from day to day and week to week.

We are still shaping the details, and features may change before launch. Your health data stays under your control, and sharing with a clinician will always be your choice. It is being built for people living with Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, or MS-related tremor, along with the caregivers and care teams who support them.

What we are exploring

Designed to fit into everyday life

Early goals for Apple Watch support. Details are still being worked on.

  • Everyday Tremor Patterns

Designed to help capture tremor from the wrist during normal daily life, not only during a guided check-in.

  • Works Alongside In-App Tasks

Adds context to the existing tremor and hand control and tapping assessments on iPhone and iPad.

  • Medication & Daily Context

See how tremor patterns line up with medication timing, sleep, activity, and your own notes.

  • Clinician-Ready Summaries

Clear trends you can bring to appointments with a neurologist or movement disorder specialist.

An important safety note

Alumina Health is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, or any medical condition. Apple Watch data will be for tracking only and does not replace care from a clinician. If you notice sudden weakness, numbness, trouble speaking, or a sudden change in movement, seek urgent medical care.
